The new Frank’s Quality Foods Store branch at 3800 Piedmont Ave. will open tomorrow, Manager Frank Wrazidlo has announced. The new supermarket is believed to be the only fully carpeted grocery store in the Duluth area.
The 1967 UMD Sno-Week celebration begins today with the crowning of the Sno Queen. A week of activities concludes on Saturday at the annual Sno Ball, with three floors of Kirby Student Center decorated in a Mexican theme.

Graybar Electric Co. has announced plans to build a new one-story warehouse and office building at 26th Ave West and Superior Street. Graybar, which has branches in all 50 states, has been in Duluth since 1918.
The American Bakery Co. plant in Duluth, which makes Taystee bread, is being offered for sale. The Duluth plant, which employs about 105 workers, is among five plants the company is selling.
